Glass doors are much easier to clean than other types of doors. Glass is durable. It will not corrode or rust and is not susceptible to insects, such as woodworm. The glass used for doors is also very thick so it is less susceptible to breakage. There are different types of glass doors, including sliding, hinged, and fixed.
One big disadvantage of a glass door is security, as it would be easy for an intruder to break through the door. To help with this, put window security film over the glass. Steel Door
If security is a big concern of yours, then a steel door would be a good choice. Steel is much stronger when compared to fiberglass or wood doors, and it will not warp or crack. Steel doors are made with a wood inner frame, which adds even more strength.
In most cases, steel doors have a baked-on polyester coating. Over time, this coating will come off, so you would have to repaint the door periodically. A more expensive version of a steel door has a vinyl coating, which offers more weather resistance, and you would not have to worry about repainting. If you do not have a budget, you could buy a steel door that has a laminated wood veneer coating.
